The DUR-A-LITE story began in Indiana in 1988, when a partnership with General Manufacturing set out to create a heavy-duty fluorescent light for industrial applications. The goal was to replace the hot, fragile incandescent lights common on shop floors.
The lineup expanded over the years with more configurations and, later, LED models. Today, it includes compact Slim-Line lights, larger heavy-duty fixtures, and LED replacements for many legacy fluorescent models.
